The City of Swan’s new website has been named Kentico’s Global Site of the Year.

The annual awards program honours partners and clients who craft remarkable digital experiences for their customers. This site culminates a year-long project for our team and the City of Swan.

“As a Local Government entity, we faced numerous challenges common to many Government websites; outdated technology, convoluted information architecture, poor user experience and content cluttered with technical terminology.” Said Declan Allen, Digital Coordinator, City of Swan.

Recognising the need for a digital transformation, the City sought an agency with Local Government experience that could meet key project drivers; improving user experience, ensuring mobile responsiveness, leveraging data-driven insights, and adopting an agile platform.

“ALYKA conducted user research, validated with data, and meticulously redesigned our website with the everyday Swan customer in mind. Their commitment to accessibility and usability was evident throughout the project lifecycle. The site's intuitive navigation, clean design, and improved language have received overwhelmingly positive customer feedback since its launch. We’re stoked with the recognition of this global award.”

Built on Kentico 13, the site sets a new standard for WA Local Governments.

“This site has involved almost everyone in our team, with involvement from each department. Our focus was building a website that exceeded the expectations of the City and its residents with our core goal of ensuring that customers can quickly and easily find information.

We worked closely with the City's project team and the collaboration of our expertise has resulted in the stunning site you see today, which truly deserves the global award.” Said Tenille Evans, Head of Web, ALYKA.
